Yefferson Pineda-De Velasquez, a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child in Travis County, Texas.

Santiago Villa-Yanez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico convicted of domestic assault and battery by strangulation, resisting an officer, and a charge of shooting with intent to kill in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Ernst Joachim, a criminal illegal alien from Haiti convicted of corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor sexual offense in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.

Desmond Woodburn, a criminal illegal alien from Jamaica convicted of murder in Queens, New York.

These arrests occurred despite a lack of cooperation from Minnesota sanctuary politicians who RELEASE criminal illegal aliens directly from jails onto the streets to terrorize more innocent Americans.
Governor Tim Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey continue to refuse to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and have released nearly 470 criminal illegal aliens back onto the streets of Minnesota since President Trump took office. Yesterday, DHS called on Governor Walz and Mayor Frey to put the safety of Minnesotans first and honor ICE arrest detainers of the more than 1,360 aliens, including violent criminals, in the state’s custody.

Francisco Salazar-Solorzano, a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador charged with assault, domestic violence, and driving under the influence of liquor.

Victor Javier Bahena-Sandoval, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico whose rap sheet includes an arrest for domestic violence and convictions for four counts of disorderly conduct and illegal re-entry.

lass=”text-align-center”>Funds go towards disaster recovery and prevention of future damage, adding to the $1 billion already awarded to the state
WASHINGTON – The United States Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem announced today more than $116 million in federal funding to support the state of North Carolina’s recovery from Tropical Storm Helene and help prevent future disaster damage across the state.
Of the approved funds, more than $72 million will go to rebuilding or restoring critical infrastructure, clearing debris from public roads, and repairing roads and bridges damaged by Helene. An additional $44.6 million will support hazard mitigation investments that are moving forward to protect communities from future flooding and severe weather.
“This investment will repair and restore critical public infrastructure across North Carolina, including schools, public safety facilities, utilities, and community services,” said Secretary Noem. “North Carolina communities are rebuilding stronger, and today’s approvals show this Administration’s commitment to cutting red tape and getting recovery dollars out the door faster. I want to thank Congresswoman Virginia Foxx, Senator Ted Budd, Congressman Chuck Edwards, Congressman David Rouzer, and Chairman Michael Whatley for their strong advocacy on behalf of North Carolinians.” 
Here are some of the notable FEMA Public Assistance grants obligated to the state and communities:

$34.7 million to North Carolina Department of Transportation for road and bridge repairs across more than 300 sites in Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Caldwell, Henderson, Mitchell, Surry, and Watauga counties.
$17.6 million to Rutherford County for the removal of nearly 700,000 cubic yards of debris and 75,000 trees and limbs from public rights of way, and the operation of four debris reduction sites.
$10.5 million to Asheville for potable water distribution, the repair or replacement of more than 100 fleet vehicles, DeBruhl Water Treatment Plant repairs, and road repairs.
$3.7 million to Beech Mountain for repairs to the town’s sewer system and wastewater treatment plant.  

Hazard Mitigation Grant Program investments moving forward include projects to:

Acquire flood-prone properties in Buncombe County (approximately $14.2 million).
Acquire flood-prone properties in Henderson County (approximately $9.2 million).
Elevate 14 homes in Beaufort County (approximately $2.5 million).

These mitigation projects are advancing through the final Congressional notification process and will be formally announced as final award actions are completed.
Prior to today’s announcement, more than $1 billion was provided to North Carolina for recovery efforts. FEMA has also paid more than $549 million in grants to survivors to directly help families recover.

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has issued an interim final rule to religious organizations and their communities allowing thousands of religious workers—including priests, nuns, and rabbis—that previously were required to remain outside the United States before returning, to resume their essential services. This rule significantly reduces this wait time, providing stability and minimizing disruptions for faith-based communities.
“Under the leadership of Secretary Noem, DHS is committed to protecting and preserving freedom and expression of religion. We are taking the necessary steps to ensure religious organizations can continue delivering the services that Americans depend on,” said a DHS spokesperson. “Pastors, priests, nuns, and rabbis are essential to the social and moral fabric of this country. We remain committed to finding ways to support and empower these organizations in their critical work.”
The rule supports President Trump’s Executive Order (E.O.) 14205, Establishment of the White House Faith Office and removes the requirement for R-1 religious workers to reside outside the United States for one year when they reach the statutory five-year maximum period of stay. While R-1 religious workers are still required to depart the U.S., the rule establishes that there is no longer a minimum period of time they must reside and be physically present outside the U.S. before they seek readmission in R-1 status.
The demand for visas within the EB-4 category has exceeded the supply for many years.  Changes implemented by the Department of State in 2023 significantly increased the already lengthy wait times for immigrant visas in the EB-4 category for aliens from certain countries, including for religious workers. These delays have caused many religious workers to exhaust their maximum period of stay in R-1 status. By eliminating the one-year foreign residency requirement, USCIS is reducing the time religious organizations are left without their trusted clergy and non-ministerial religious workers.
The interim final rule is effective immediately. USCIS invites written comments and related materials submitted within 60 days of the rule’s publication in the Federal Register.

WASHINGTON – Today the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reminds Americans of the facts after Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey gave an interview this morning in which he failed to take responsibility for his sanctuary policies that RELEASE criminal illegal aliens from jails, including violent criminals, and put them back in American neighborhoods.
In a Fox News interview this morning, Fox News’ Griff Jenkins asked Mayor Frey, “Are you familiar with Victoria Eileen Harwell? An Ecuadorian illegal immigrant in August of 2024, driving drunk, crashed head-on into Victoria Harwell, killing her…Local Hennepin County released [him] not once, but twice, and didn’t cooperate with ICE detainers. Why not – since you’re in favor of removing them – cooperate with ICE, whether you have this sanctuary policy, which DHS says it is – you call it a “separation ordinance” – why not just cooperate, and make it safer for everyone involved: The community, the officers, and even the migrants?”
In response, Mayor Frey claimed, “My position on this is pretty straightforward: If you commit a crime, if you commit fraud, if you commit a carjacking, or a murder, you should be investigated, charged, prosecuted, held accountable, and yes, arrested and put in jail. Um, that is my position if you commit a crime, and you are a problem on the streets of the city of Minneapolis that has made us less safe.”

German Llangari Inga, an illegal alien from Ecuador, was charged with vehicular homicide that resulted in the death of Minnesota mom Victoria Eileen Harwell in August of 2024.

According to court documents, Llangari Inga’s preliminary breathalyzer revealed his blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit for driving in Minnesota. A test of a blood sample collected by police about 2½ hours later found his blood alcohol content was 0.141%, still well above the legal limit.

Immediately following the crime, ICE placed a detainer for Llangari Inga upon his arrest for criminal vehicular homicide on August 4, 2024. The Hennepin County Jail refused to honor the detainer, and he was released without notification to ICE on August 6, 2024. Llangari Inga was arrested again on May 10, 2025, on an outstanding warrant for vehicular homicide by the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and ICE placed a detainer the same day. He was released May 13 without notification to ICE. ICE arrested Llangari Inga on May 16, 2025.
“Tim Walz and Jacob Frey’s dangerous sanctuary policies directly RELEASE criminal illegal aliens from jails and put them back on the streets to victimize more innocent Americans. Victoria Eileen Harwell’s killer NEVER should have been RELEASED from Minnesota jails,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “Despite Minneapolis-area officials refusing to honor this criminal illegal alien’s detainer TWICE, ICE officers tracked him down and removed this criminal from Minnesota’s streets. According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, a violent shooting occurred on December 20, 2025, where two individuals were shot and later pronounced dead at the hospital. Bravlio Galeano Ayala, 16, and Samir Canales Molina, 18, were identified as the victims.  
According to local reports, the shootings happened around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in southwest Charlotte. The two teens were found more than six miles away from each other, but detectives believe they were “shot at the same location during the same incident and then traveled away from the scene in an attempt to find help.”

“Another tragic loss of life at the hands of a criminal illegal alien. The two male victims were just 16 and 18 years old, both with a whole life ahead of them. Their lives were ripped away in moments by a criminal illegal alien who should have NEVER been in our country in the first place,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin “ICE lodged an arrest detainer. Unfortunately, North Carolina’s sanctuary politicians often REFUSE to allow us into their jails and release these known criminals back into American communities. President Trump and Secretary Noem launched Operation Charlotte’s Web to target these criminals and get them out of American neighborhoods.”
Orellana-Ramirez illegally crossed the border at an unknown date and location and without inspection by an immigration officer.

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the arrest of a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and New York City Council employee, Rafael Andres Rubio Bohorquez. This illegal alien’s criminal history includes an arrest for assault in New York. He had no work authorization and was illegally employed.

Rubio entered the United States on a B2 tourist visa in 2017 that required him to depart the U.S by October 22, 2017. He had no legal right to be in the United States.
“A criminal illegal alien with no authorization to work in the U.S. being employed by the New York City Council is shocking. This takes sanctuary city to a whole new level,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “This criminal illegal alien has no authority to be in the U.S. and has a previous arrest for assault. Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, the United States is no longer a safe haven for criminals.”
This is not the first illegal alien government employee ICE arrested.
Radule Bojovic, an illegal alien from Montenegro, was working as a sworn police officer with the Hanover Park Police Department in sanctuary state Illinois. Radule Bojovic was encountered during a targeted enforcement action as part of Operation Midway Blitz. Bojovic overstayed a B2 tourist visa that required him to depart the U.S. on March 31, 2015. Over a decade later, he was still illegally in the U.S.

ICE Des Moines arrested Ian Andre Roberts, a criminal illegal alien from Guyana in possession of a loaded handgun, $3,000 in cash, and a fixed blade hunting knife. At the time of his arrest, Roberts was working as the Superintendent of Des Moines Public Schools despite being an illegal alien with a final order of removal and no work authorization. Roberts had existing weapon possession charges from February 5, 2020. Roberts entered the United States in 1999 on a student visa and was given a final order of removal by an Immigration Judge in May of 2024.

WASHINGTON — Yorvis Michel Carrascal Campo, a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and confirmed member of the violent transnational Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA), has been charged for murder, racketeering, and drug trafficking in New Mexico. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrested this gang member in Colorado Springs, CO on January 8, 2026.
According to the Department of Justice indictment, on or about June 16, 2024, several TdA gang members viciously kidnapped a man, tortured and then strangled him to death. Carrascal Campo is charged with participating in strangling the victim and proceeded to destroy all evidence of the brutal murder. Then the victim’s body was ruthlessly jammed into a suitcase and was buried in a remote location within New Mexico.

Carrascal Campo illegally crossed the southern border in October 2023 and was released into the country by the Biden administration on December 18, 2023. He was issued a final order of removal from an Immigration Judge on June 11, 2024.
