Trump made additional disaster assistance available to the state of Georgia to supplement recovery efforts in the areas affected by Hurricane Helene that occurred from September 24 – October 30, 2024
The President authorized the federal cost-share to be increased from 75% to 90%
The major disaster declaration made federal funding available for Public Assistance, Other Needs Assistance and Hazard Mitigation for total eligible costs
